      He’s just afraid of the tourism money Finland is going to lose as a result. 

      I lived in Finland for 8 years and experienced some openly racist/xenophobic behavior. One time I was sitting outside my apartment with my Finnish ex gf and a neighbor came up to us and spit at us and called my ex a whore and told her to go fuck her foreign man. Another time someone told me they wanted to shoot me in the face with a shotgun for being a foreigner.

      But I guess what can you expect from a country that was selling chocolates called N word kisses with [this racist image on the box](https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinteresting/comments/b8gnh5/these_fluffy_chocolate_pastries_used_to_be_sold/ ) up until 2020 and with kids who grew up playing “who’s afraid of the N word”

      Edit: My old colleague in Oulu who is in his 40s is the one who told me that was the name of the game. I also forgot to mention Tiernapoika. Every year at the grocery shops they had kids dressed up for Christmas and one kid would be in black face.

      ..after a week of pressure to say something. He did this because he had to, not because he cares. There is non-zero chance that Orpo was laughing with his collegues at the racist shit.

      The text he send to Asia is just ignorant and empty words. He will do nothing else. Those who are racist get applaud from their party (alt right ofc) and thats it. 

      Putin who claimed Finland is ran by nazis thanks for another excellent pass by alt right. 

      Maybe he ordered it?

      His words mean absolutely nothing. There have been multiple racism scandals from the government (same party every time) and every time the prime minister apologizes and says they’re going to have a serious conversation. The actual offending party doesn’t say anything or laughs it off and the cycle continues. This won’t stop because the government would collapse without that party.

      The funniest thing is that this is Finland doing this to other Asians. In a way, its not even racist as you cannot be racist to your own race.

      The racism/hate that started world war 2 and the current confrontation against germany and its allies is becoming more apparent. Dont forget Finland was a chief vassel state and complicit in the Holocaust.
