Protests have been happening across Europe over the past weeks, with demonstrations in 13 cities including Brussels, Paris, and London. Activists are calling on Belgium to stop blocking an EU proposal that would use frozen Russian assets as collateral for a loan to Ukraine.

Haven’t seen it covered by media so the press-release here – [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MJgUXdae-J5fzYzk0cmM4jIh_3ubayYfdQzSXSIBEtY/edit?tab=t.0](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MJgUXdae-J5fzYzk0cmM4jIh_3ubayYfdQzSXSIBEtY/edit?tab=t.0)

Maybe these protesters can quickly gather a measly 180 billion euros from their savings accounts to guarantee our country doesn’t bankrupt when Russia sues and manages to potentially win.

Asking eu countries to take on massive liabilities, especially Belgium based on “we promise this is the best plan ever and nothing will go wrong”.

Someone should go and ask them if they are willing to put their homes and other belongings as collateral if one day Russia comes seeking it’s money back.
