The more air defense they take down, the more holes to exploit in the russian defense, the more holes in the russian defense, the more air defense systems get taken down. Repeat until they leave the country.

Every russian aircraft taken out is one less to attack Ukrainian civilians, and ,occasionally, Ukrainian soldiers. And it puts more stress on the remaining airframes.

When you chop down a large tree, it remains standing until the end of the process, every strike like this is an axe blow to the tree that will bring it down.

Need to see the long-term SEAD against Crimea exploited for actual operational or strategic benefit. Destroying equipment for pennies on the dollar is nice, but if it doesn’t advance the current goals and needs, then maybe some of the resources dedicated to Crimea could have a bigger impact elsewhere.
