      Jesus, that first paragraph is literally designed to cause panic and hysteria.

      its less lethal and harmful than for example using batons or firearms. as we have an unarmed police force you would have thought tasers should have been issued years ago

      I mean, let’s be honest here, they aren’t going to be used on scumbags, violent fascists or your garden variety criminal; they’ll be used on striking workers, peaceful protestors and the homeless the gardai deem to be a threat after hassling them.
