Did 12 pubs in Dublin City a couple years ago. Never been offered cocaine as many times in the one night in my life, from both friends and strangers. Some pubs felt like borderline anarchy too.

Yeah because it never comes into the country otherwise. Just at christmas.

Could be disappointing, it might just be creatine.

Snow is falling, all around us children playing having fun….

That stuff never agreed with me, I do not like that extreme heart beat, especially the next day, kind of jealous I can’t do the stuff… but it’s probably better I don’t.

Drugs: the continuous winner of the perpetual war on drugs. That’s 54 consecutive wins for drugs or 119,454 sublime joints.

  8. standarsh1965 on

Well it’s good that they know about it at least. As usual they plan on doing fuck all about it

Cool, we will have hundreds of thousands of brain damaged aggressive lunatics in our land in the years to come. Lovely

It’s amazing that some of the most wanted and biggest players are Irish gangs with connections to insane organisations.

Which Christmas market is this? So I know to stay away from it

I do find the cognitive dissonance on cocaine jarring. People doing it while being shocked at the violence and other negative social impacts of the criminal gangs that supply it. Offsetting their conscience by saying “well if it was legalised that wouldn’t be a problem.” Yeah, well, it isn’t legalised and right now the guy you paid for your bag is paying a guy further up the food chain who is associated with petrol bombing houses with kids in them, and a guy even further up the food chain who is cutting people up alive with chainsaws in the country of production.

Just legalize it at this point, I’ve never been attracted to this drug but it seems widely in use and borderline socially acceptable at this point.

me and the missus were in our rural pub a few years back, some day in xmas week where nobody knows the day, having a quiet pint around 3pm. in comes a family with a college-aged daughter and i suppose her friend, maybe her cousin or something.

they looked a bit worse for wear but whatever. we were having a drink ourselves. the wife is in the toilet and hears sniffing from the cubicle and the 2 girls walking out rubbing their noses.

as i said, we were drinking ourselves at 3pm but we were kinda shocked. the girls needed a bump at 3pm when they’re with their parents and siblings (or aunts/uncles/cousins) in the local rural boozer? it was all a bit much. but to each their own

Well sure look, I was in a pub last night and I didn’t know half the people there but whoever Annie Lyons is, she must be fairly popular because they were all asking for her.

So better chances for Garda to intercept and prosecute suppliers right? Right?

Cocaine is dangerous and addictive. And also you’re not actually as interesting as you think you are when you use it.
And when you give it up, you’ll look back and think what a d1ck you’ve been.
But if you don’t give it up, you’ll ruin yourself, your mental health, probably damage the people around you and possibly lose your life.

But hey sure it’s just a bit of craic.

The war drugs is over and drugs won. What ever happened to the health lead approach as reccomended by the citizens assembly?

Whereabouts are these Christmas markets? Just so I know which ones to avoid

  25. New_Lifeguard_3260 on

If there is a war on drugs, the people taking them are winning…

  26. ECO_FRIENDLY_BOT on

Lot of scumbags in Ireland supporting drug gangs and wasting money on a drug that makes them an even bigger tool than they already are
