“No, no no we needed 6 geese a laying not 70, didn’t you even read the list?”

Fucking savages that did this. To have geese for people’s food is acceptable, to just kill geese for no reason is incomprehensible

This is the second story today involving wild or pet geese being killed allegedly for consumption.

Farmers? Some hate wild geese in their land
Ive heard stories from rural areas of how dumping badgers or other unwanted wildlife by sides of roads by landowners or farmers. Usually you can tell its not accidental when they are dropped in a row like it was moving car that threw them out one by one

So is not migrants eating them as flag shaggers claimed then?

This is marsh or estuary wildfowlers, cutting the breast out gets 90% of the meat without the faff of plucking the bird. Source my dad was a wildfowler club member eta he never dumped carcasses like this as far as I know

It’s genuinely disturbing to see this level of wanton cruelty. The fact that they were just dumped after being butchered for their breasts shows a complete disregard for the animals and the law. This feels like more than just poaching; it’s a brutal and senseless act. Stories like this really highlight how some people view wildlife as utterly disposable.
