There really seems to be a small cohort earning a fortune through government incompetence. I don’t see this situation improving anytime soon either.Â
And FFG will have to neck to come out and say these people need to be protected (the landlords that is, not the homeless) because they’re providing a vital housing service.Â
At what point will this government actually deliver enough housing. This has been going on for 10 years now.
Wait…..for that kind of money you could buy a hotel. Ah right lads we already did that

People are always so quick to look at the negatives like the atrocious waste of public funds being funnelled into the hands of Banty and co but look at the positives…
Corduff GAA, Banty’s local club get state of the art facilities and inter-county players transferring in from all over the country all off the back of taxpayers money. Great man for the parish.

FFFG really loved Thatchers neoliberalism that they made it their religion.
Wouldn’t 58 million buy you enough properties to have enough emergency accommodation rather than renting ?
What is Séamus ÂMcEnaney’s face on this when all he’s doing is profiting from stupid government policy.
The people responsible for this should be on the graphic.,,,
54% of Dublin’s homeless are non-Irish.
Surely it would be better (and cheaper) for the state to offer to send some of them home?
Both for the state’s finances, but also for the homeless themselves. Being homeless in Ireland, in winter, is an awful life.
So build some fucking houses and appartments and don’t let the vulture funds near them.
This is a governmental self made issue
