“A man who stabbed a wedding reception guest in the neck with a shard of broken glass in an “unprovoked attack” has been told he was lucky not to be jailed.
Matthew Spencer (24) smashed a glass off the bar before assaulting the other man in an incident at a south Dublin hotel.
Judge Gerard Jones struck the case out, leaving him without a criminal record, after he paid more than €3,000 compensation to the victim.”
No conviction.
