And more than warnings won‘t Happen.
    What a pathetic Display

  3. StrangerConscious637 on

Wow … just wow. 2 years ago I could never imagine that the USA would be the biggest threat for us Europeans. They are now Europes most evil enemy after the Russians.

  4. Stabile_Feldmaus on

At the very least they should start an investigation against the heritage foundation.

  5. Bearyalis on

I just feel that the US needs to tone it down a little if they still want those chipmachines from ASML for their AI ponzi.

  6. TailleventCH on

EU considers the possibility to discuss the hypothesis to imagine potential ways to decide of the opportunity to have talks in an administrative subcommittee that might consider writing a strongly worded letter.

  7. _Razeft_ on

don’t need to warn, we need EU to do something against the USA

  8. Easy_Dystopie on

    YEAH!!!! IN YOUr face…..

    …possible!

    maybe possible….

oh my phone rings! …time to go to bed!…

  9. MethyleneBlueEnjoyer on

The whole motive behind the US doing this is to make the EU look utterly weak and impotent to degrade internal support for it, and tbh it’s working.

  10. Blubbolo on

    Stop warning them.

Everytime they do or say some shit, sanction them.

  11. Pepsi_Popcorn_n_Dots on

Reciprocal bans on Trump’s cabinet ministers and billionaire tech supporters. They would freaking fucking out if they had to stop flying their families around Europe for vacations.

US called Breton the “mastermind” behind the EU’s Digital Services Act, which imposes a set of strict requirements designed to keep internet users safe online. This includes flagging harmful or illegal content like hate speech.

X gets fined and within a month they put sanctions on Breton. China also imposed tariffs on EU in response to EU’s tariffs on EVs and small packages.
Now it’s upto EU, either they bend the knee again or standup to both US and China which seems less likely

  13. Psephological on

Also to be honest, if the EU is not running heavy messaging ops on US social networks right now they should be.

If these hicks want to be lied to, give them more useful messages. Or at least start making the tampering bidirectional.

This is not the first incident of this kind. When will be a reaction from the EU? Remeber these incidients from just this year?

Everyone knows how to handle school bullying, right? So what is really different here…

  15. Siegorius on

Oh no. They’re about to hold a meeting to discuss the possibility of initiating procedures to send a strongly worded letter!

  16. ConsciousExtent4162 on

Very nice. You see what jobs those people do and you get why. US of hate.

  17. DaZMan44 on

“EU warns of possible action.” Did they warn you? No. Just do it. Stop beating around the bush.

  18. skildert on

Damn it. No more empty warnings.
Just act already. Take a fucking stand.

  19. What America has done to these five will have a huge impact on their lives. Does anyone have a full list of things.

    I will start

    No email

    No banking

    No social media

    No web site

  20. GoatCheeseEnjoyeeer on

“We condemn in the strongest possible terms…”
then nothing? Is that the possible action in question? Usually what the EU does

  21. Cozimo128 on

Literally all this is doing is galvanising all of Europe to Unity.

  22. Separate-Analysis194 on

Some good old French Monte Python style taunting.

  23. Union_Biker on

The irony is fantastic. Trump is rage tweeting about shutting down any news outlets that criticize him.

  24. ianishomer on

Walk away from the world cup!

No European sides and the whole competition is a farce.

Hit the orange fat one where it hurts…. I his wallet!

  25. Romek_himself on

should be a warning for everyone … dont use american services when there are alternatives!

  26. Client_020 on

This soft shit will slowly kill us. People like Trump and Putin only respect to strength. So project strength. Act decisively.

  27. pyrignis on

    > EU warns of possible action

And if that is not enough, a displeased press communiqué has even been suggested by the hardliners.

  28. Fluffy-Republic8610 on

It’s hard to deal with this kind of USA administration because they would love.nothibg more than us to react and provide them with a rich vein of stories to distract Americans from other things on their agenda.

It’s the same with resisting ice. These are all provocations. And it’s hard to deal with it.

At some.point when they come for your people, you’ve got to protect them with a nice punch in the face.

  29. RuudVanBommel on

As long as rightards are predominantly running the EU, nothing of consequence will happen. They are too busy raking in money and personal favours at the expense of the Union and the countries and they represent.

They will gladly write strong worded letters so that they can keep sucking Trumps crusty cock. At worst, people like Merz are already happy to throw the rest of the Union under the bus to show Trump what a good little boy he is and that Trump please at least stays Germany’s Daddy.

  30. WhatANoob2025 on

Aren’t we blowing this a bit out of proportion?

I mean the sanctions are symbolic in the first place.

I’m sure none of the sanctioned people had any plans to travel to the fascist shithole that is the 4th Reich of America anytime soon.

  31. mystique79 on

“possible” – nothing could be more typical for the EU

  32. SeveralLadder on

I can’t believe game theory isn’t a part of the strategy of the E.U.

Statistically, generous tit-for-tat is the most successul strategy. To never retaliate means certain loss, to retaliate most of the time and never be the one starting to be greedy, means the best possible outcome.

  33. European diplomacy: “EU hints at possibly thinking about perhaps considering the potential option of saying something. A vote on initiating discussions will be held in 30 days. It is already known that Hungary will veto it.”

Putin laughs. Trump laughs. Next stage of escalation begins.
