      Electricity prices have risen by 21.9 per cent in a month as of November this year, according to new figures released by the CSO.

      However, they are nearly 70 per cent lower than their peak in August 2022.

      They are also 16 per cent lower than in November 2024.

      At the first opportunity re-negotiate your contracts with your suppliers. I got a 25% reduction in my tariff with the same supplier.

      The European wholesale gas prices have been going down all year. They have been stable in November and December yet a 20% increase in electricity.

      I could be due to hedging etc but we need to address our energy costs. Data centres in this country don’t make sense with our cost of electricity. Well that is if we are not subsiding them! Which in all likelihood we are.
