I can’t really see if its there or not, I mean it looks like it since there are red jars, but if they have Zacusca you should try it. It’s a spread made of roasted peppers and other autumn veggies. It’s so good.

Don’t sleep on the Turkish delights tiny sugar bombs that make you forget you only came for milk.

Cedevita for drinking and if that red box to the left upper corner are bananice, I would take those

  4. Toto, jaffa and frondi are all good if you have a sweet tooth.

  5. Wow, you have many Ukrainian products for the Swedish market, I mean. Everything that makes Верес and Нежін is delicious.

Hm, I don’t recognize any French, Belgian or Dutch product, so I can’t tell. I guess Sweden is not far enough for these to be relevant.

On the right it seems to be the Finland nostalgia sector including the tinned meatballs in brown sauce by Jalostaja. Used to eat that with spaghetti, ketchup and mayo as a kid. Sorry, Italy, didn’t know any better.

There’s also tins of pickled cukes and picled beets which are always great, and also salted and cubed forest mushroom mix which you can use to make sienisalaatti (mushroom salad, typically shrooms, onion, parsley and your choice of dairy/sour dairy/mayo mix).

You have two options for Domačica.

Both are good, I prefer the blue one.

Those Wawel chocolate-covered jellies (Mieszanka Krakowska) were my guilty pleasure for a long while. Top shelf, right half, green packaging. Our local supermarket has them too.

  10. Ptasie Mleczko (top left shelf) is one of the best things made in Poland ever, second only to Iga Świątek

“foreign section”? More like the “Polish section”.

Delicje, Mieszanka Krakowska, Krakus. Ogorki kiszone, but I don’t know this brand. Winiary is Nestle, so I don’t buy their products.

  13. koniboni on

Yep, the Dr. Oetker cake, the Granini juice and the Spaghetti sauce.

Anything in jars is either hit or miss never in between.

Cherry compote (bottom shelf, left). Just above it – buckwheat, but it has an acquired taste, so trying it out of curiosity will likely result in a disappointment. Zefir (top shelf, center). Chocolate glazed gingerbread with strawberry filling (just below zefir)

  16. Zacna_Pyza on

Delicje with cherry jelly are good, but orange are even better.

Pierniczki with strawberry jam are cool.

Krówki candies are one of the most popular in Poland.

+Łowicz sauces are good. Sweet-Sour is my fav

I’m English and that Polish mayonnaise is king of the mayos. Sorry Hellman’s.

And 90% is Polish. Most of those are quality products, nothing in particular to recommend

Domaćica used to be good, you can try it if you like dry biscuits.

The gulasz angielski in the krakus tins. Get some nice crusty loaf, toasted, butter, spread a good layer of the meat on it, add a dash of Maggi and spread it across the meat, add finely diced or sliced red onion, freshly ground black pepper. It is unreal.

  21. Kan vara det sämsta urvalet av utländska produkter jag har sett i en butik i Sverige..

I got my first ever Pop Tart from one of these sections. The sugar rush that i got was out of this world, i was sweating actually. Threw away the other one and will never touch them again.

If they’ve got Polish kabanosy, grab a small pack and eat them slightly chilled with some mustard. Weirdly addictive. Also, any random Croatian ajvar brand is usually solid.

  25. Oh boy… Where do I even start?

Domaćica, Toto, Frondi, Ajvar, kompot wiśniowi, jaffacakes, eurofilbi, cedevita…

  26. Vannnnah on

The Granini juice is nice, as is the Dr. Oetker cake mix a little to the right of the juice

  27. Got Jaffa Cakes

Needs Irn Bru, Tunnocks Tea Cakes and Caramel wafers

Zakwas na żurek – sour rye soup starter. That grey stuff in a bottle.

Fry some smoked sausage cut into cubes with chopped onions, add stock, potatoes and carrots in big chunks. When cooked, add the bottle of the starter, some garlic, marjoram, salt, pepper, and bring to boil. Should have the consistency between soup and stew. Serve with hard boiled eggs, sour cream and a slice of sourdough bread.

Tymbark tlmato juice is delicious, the korovja toffe is delicious too. If you like pickles you can try pickled tomatoes and cucumbers, very delish.
Granini is a quitegood juice in germany
