FB wanted to add solar and wind turbines to their existing DC. They were refused planning permission. ‘cause ye know, if they generate some of their own energy, then they don’t pay the crooks.

Ah that’s why we’re getting increase in our bills to help build infrastructure.
I don’t understand what benefits this brings to Ireland.
We are already paying increased electricity prices to pay for grid upgrades. This is only going to place more demand on a system that’s already under stress.
And I don’t think these provide a meaningful number of jobs. Am I missing something?
