60 million .. wow is that like 5 shells.
“Berlin” (Bundeswehr rather) ordered a first batch of 84 RCH 155 artillery units for €1.2 billion.
They singed a contract with KNDS and Rheinmetall for a total of 500 RCH 155 units that can be joined by other partners like the UK, which they now did.
That’s where the €60m number comes from, which will be significantly higher once the UK actually orders more than a few test units.
The Bundeswehr alone will at least order another batch of 84 units, likely even more.
The title of the article is misleading at best.
That seems like a lot for just three items.Maybe it’s acceptable for test models.

An advancing consequence from the us actions on Ukraine and Europe is that more weapon systems and ammunition will be developed and bought from European countries and not us arms manufacturers
The concept is sound Ukraine has show how vulnerable artillery has become to counter battery fire so mobile artillery is a must opposed to the more static emplacements we’ve used for years
