You mean Haughey who tried to secretly fund the IRA and got caught out. Disturbing indeed!
Edit: Lads downvote all you want, this is why a united Ireland if as a far away as it was in 1997 – because you cannot reflect on Ireland’s part in the Troubles.
I recall my late father, who was in the defence forces, taking us up to Greenore to see one of the Irish naval patrol vessels entering Carlingford Lough on patrol. I wonder was it after one of these incidents?
