      It was actually during a segment about the European team of the Ryder Cup (because it won in 2025).

      It just so happens that the flag the European Ryder team uses looks the same as the EU flag.

      That’s the flag of the Council of Europe (which the UK never left) not the EU.

      Well, technically it’s the “Europe” flag, not just the EU flag. The EU just happens to use it as well.

      In this troublesome times ,we need to stand together strong ,Uk is always welcomed back. Hopefully one day we will be again as one ,strong and undivided.

      It’s a shame they just superimposed them on the TV. It looked tacky. They could’ve projected it onto the actual wheel like they usually do.

      Honestly, this feels like a sensible reset. Not rejoining the EU (for now), but rebuilding what actually worked – Erasmus, cooperation, easier exchange. Pragmatism over ideology.

      UK is always welcomed back <3

      tbh the EU stole the flag from the Council of Europe, which the UK is still part of

      Technically it is the flag of Europe, the EU also happens to use it, but it was created for the Council of Europe before the EU was founded

      Tbf it is the flag of Europe not just the EU. It was originally created for the European Consul which isn’t an EU institution.

      This logo is not only the EU logo but the logo of the European Council which the UK is a (founding) member of, still. People are so uneducated and focus only on quick social media posts without differentiating at all …
