Interesting. I have to wonder how effective it will be if the pilots already know about it.
Modern drones shouldn’t rely on cameras anyways.. there are super cheap alternatives (microwave radar).
The cameras just need to identify the target and allow the radar to lock-in for it’s last-leg approach
Russia’s solutions are so fucking stupid and easily defeated.. IR LEDs ARE A TARGET IN THEIR OWN RIGHTS.
At least now we know we can target Russian drones by detecting the infra red they emit…
That might also make Shaheds more visible to searching aircraft

Well this proves that Ukraines Radar capacities are so good that Russia knows that they cant hide their shaheds anyway and now they just try to make them harder to hit. This is indeed a proof of Ukraine mastering the Western Euipment.
Put an ir filter over the camera lens and carry on?
IR goggles seem like an easy fix, no? And then your cameras can just lock in on the nice bright beacon?
not sure if that photo is legit but that looks pretty small and low power. Even the photo of it came out fine and clear. I do not think that particular one would stop anything.
