Ho compilato manualmente un elenco di (attualmente) 123 startup attive in tutto il Belgio utilizzando fonti pubbliche (siti web aziendali, registri, annunci di finanziamento) e le ho tracciate in base alla sede principale.
L’obiettivo era quello di ottenere una panoramica geografica approssimativa di dove si concentra l’attività delle startup poiché spesso mi imbatto in queste mappe di startup da San Francisco, Europa, ecc., e ho notato che il Belgio stesso non ne ha una accurata.
Gent è ovviamente in testa. Ma sono sorpreso dal fatto che Lovanio e Anversa abbiano un numero di startup simile a quello di Bruxelles.
Questo non è affatto esaustivo, probabilmente mancano startup in fase iniziale, invisibili e meno visibili. Qualsiasi correzione e aggiunta è super gradita.

Great start, I would look into the 5 Hubs4Growth start up hubs to further expand on this map. As it combines the 5 main Flemish start up hubs: Hangar K, The Beacon Leuven Mindgate, winter circus, corda campus and Brussels Airport. Should easily find around 300 tech start ups there.
This is the worst map I have seen in a long time
It is a surprising map for me. Wallonia has a large program to attract startups and tech companies. In 2025, I personally talked to one of the program’s representatives at even a small event in Brazil.
