It is already freezing and snowy in Ukraine and next week it will only get colder. Soldiers are at great risk of frostbite without adequate gear. Unfortunately not everyone has it.

We have been providing winter gear including sleeping bags, gloves, neck warmers, hats, thermal underwear, boots, and warmers. We have two groups we are really prioritizing:

    1. Latin American volunteers. They have never seen snow before and never been through winter. They arrive without any adequate supplies and many deploy before getting their first paycheck. Without help to get winter gear they are at great risk of frostbite. MANY of them are critical to holding the Zap front line right now which is under resourced and undermanned.

    2. Anyone with special sizing requirements. Not everyone fits into the issued gear. The soldier in this video did not and while boots are issued, he needed a large size that we could actually only find one one brand. If gear doesn’t fit it’s uncomfortable and also might not evern keep someone warm.

To donate for winter gear, go here:

This is 501c3 compliant and used to cover purchases of food, clothing, appliances, hygiene supplies, etc.

So is the way to help with winter gear in the “vetted charities” link or is there a specific one that is pertinent?

Pay us back by staying alive and uninjured! Glory to Ukraine!

  4. Ugh why the hell is Canada not using more cold weather gear. We have droves of the stuff

Overboots like the Norwegian Army use. 2k at army shops. The Boots alone will not do the Job properly. And warm rubber Boots with inlays. They are cost effective.

Done. Can’t rightly sit here in my warm apartment on the other side of Europe and not give something to keep these heroes warmer!
