So this rule has been in placed since forever and is applied to any invader. The article really knows how to clickbait.

We all know what happened when Hitler invaded Poland

I’d just like to point out, there is virtually no support for a US occupation of Greenland in congress, not even on the normally gleefully enthusiastic conservative American subs. Morals aside, the Venezuala invasion was likely something that has been in planning for a very long time. Its also a dysfunctional neighbour that bares no practical resemblance to what it would take politically and logistically to invade a european nation. Slick successful operations like that aren’t pulled off at the drop of a hat.

Not a comment on ethics, just trying to put things in perspective.

Danish soldiers will not defeat a US invasion force by shooting. But they might defeat it with large numbers of attack drones.

The only good America solider is a dead one.

Besides America hasn’t won any wars since WW2. They lost Vietnam, Korea, Iraq twice and Afghanistan.

Not really sure what the news here is. As opposed to what? Not shooting? That’s kinda the whole point of an army

Good. As it should be. I’m beyond sick and tired of US exceptionalism and the EU just sitting here and taking it.

We are obviously not allies in their eyes, so why are we just pretending we still are?
