Il deposito di litio di prima qualità dell’Ucraina è stato ufficialmente assegnato a un gruppo di investitori legati agli Stati Uniti mentre il paese corteggia il presidente degli Stati Uniti Donald Trump con accordi commerciali nel corso dei colloqui sulla proposta di pace.
Il vincitore del concorso, lanciato nell’agosto 2025, è Dobra Lithium Holdings, una joint venture tra TechMet, una società mineraria sostenuta dal governo statunitense, e The Rock Holdings, ha scritto il primo ministro Yuliia Svyrydenko su Telegram il 12 novembre.
Il New York Times ha riferito la scorsa settimana, citando funzionari ucraini anonimi, che il governo era pronto ad approvare il gruppo di investimento, che comprende anche l’alleato di Trump Ronald S. Lauder, l’uomo a cui è attribuita l’idea che gli Stati Uniti prendessero il controllo della Groenlandia.

Trump is so corrupt.
Be a shame if Russia bombed the hell out of that area now that they know that.
If Ukraine is fighting this war to stay out of the corrupt claws of russia then arent they just entering into the same thing with America?

TDS translator: A long term investing boon to Ukraine increasing US-Ukrainian links, incentivizing the Trump administration to protect Ukraine further since 60-70% of known lithium in Ukraine is located in war effected regions. This is Ukraine’s own charm offensive continuing to pay dividends, and any false equivalence between US-sponsored investments and Russian corruption is ridiculous.
But this feeds into EVs which this administration is deeply against. Sure, there are other batteries that can be made with lithium, but wouldn’t the majority be used for EVs?
Once again an American good idea with poor execution!
If the plan was to purchase all of the Ukrainian lithium at a discount market rate by the USA forbidding American competitors like China buy the lithium. This could be a great deal both for America and Ukraine.
Money and discount weapons today for Ukraine, discount lithium for America in the future. Both get what they want when they need it.
But Trump is corrupt, many in Ukraine are corrupt… so you get this.
Ukraine is playing 3d chess. You gave to buy that embarrassment, and Russia’s economy is beyond fried, which even that bulbus orangutan can understand by now. Ukraine is showing the economic benefits. I know I email the white house every day talking about how great it’ll be when Russia collapses and we get all their shit. Ya gotta speak their language.
The terms are not available yet, but I hope they have to pay something up front, like now.
