Trump might try and pander to the Greenlanders. Maybe offer them money to vote differently or something. Taking it by military force is so unlikely.
It would make the US an enemy of NATO overnight and all their military bases in every territory not belonging to them would be put to siege. With nothing allowed to come in or leave they would quickly have to give themselves up. I mean, what would the US do in response? Attack *another* ally?

I have been thinking about the fact for the past year that we are already past the point where the destiny of the american experiment will not lay in the congress, not with citizens and the vote, but with the generals.
