The Church of Sweden uncovered a covert fundraising operation by Belarusian nuns with ties to Russian military intelligence. The nuns were selling small religious items across 20 Swedish churches to generate money for Mr Putin’s military campaign in Ukraine.
Swedish security services are also investigating the Orthodox Church in Västerås, built just 300 meters from Stockholm-Västerås Airport.

It’s a known fact that in Russia and Belarusia, the church is deeply intertwined with the government and takes an active part in spreading the current regimes ideology.
What concerns me is how nobody thought to pay attention to them for 4 years. Especially since something similar happened in Estonia around 2 years ago.
