What these people fail to realize is that Russia will never know peace even if they somehow manage to take over the entire country. Not even 60-70 years of Soviet rule managed to quell the Ukrainian spirit. It won’t be different this time.
The best Russia can do for world peace is to succumb to the inevitable and collapse onto itself.
There is no peace deal to strike. Russia has no friends as Lavrov says and doesn’t even honor terms of its bizarro NATO counterpart it created. They have publicly stated that they want all of Ukraine and everybody else they can reach that they used to own. And then if they eventually manage that they would rumble about how Spain was always traditionally Russian. And just because they won’t win doesn’t mean they won’t keep trying or devastate the victim countries. The fact that Americans are either taking bribes to push maximalist Russian demands or using the situation to lengthen the war to sap attention away from defending Greenland and Canada just makes everything worse.
Viewing any situation in Russia in isolation is a surrender of one’s sovereignty to unrestrained evil. Georgia was puppeted by 2025 and decent people had to flee. Russia has been the primary consistent force of expansionist genocide for centuries no matter the regime. Any likely successor to Putin is no better.
Any deal made by Krasnov is worthless as the leaders of European Countries have found out recently by opposing his invasion of Greenland. The UK had a 33 Billion tech deal which was abandoned because they wouldn’t take shitty American chlorinated chicken. There’s a trade deal to be raitifed with the EU which won’t go ahead because of the punitive tarrifs for opposing his bullying regarding Greenland.
Remember, Putin owns Krasnov like a dog. The longer he’s in power the easier it is for us all to see it. It won’t be long before an EU Head Of State calls it out for what it is. He’s a russian asset, he has been since the 80’s.
