      No word on this from Minister for Children Norma Foley still hiding from the media after the TUSLA disasters?

      This government plan to build creches – who is going to run them? It’s not necessarily the buildings that are lacking, it’s the running costs

      > 977 early years childcare services have closed since 2019. While 579 new services opened during that time.

      Headline a little misleading with the numbers although overall there was a decrease of about 400 services.

      there’s a good bit of consolidation in private services as well. do those count as ‘closures’ i wonder?
