There, behind closed doors, he was due to speak at a meeting of members of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, a working group intended to discuss “the future of democracy.”

      Of course the visit was kept secret and confidential…. Coward.

      We can “thank” this guy for JD Vance. It was Peter Thiel who launched Vance’s political career. If Vance wins in 2028, a Euro-American split seems almost inevitable. Europe might be able to wait out Trump, but 8 years of someone like JD would be too much for even the most Atlanticist European politicians.

      Are there any sane billionaires? It seems that money (especially so many) makes you go nuts. Probably all the people around them try to please them, just like the story with the emperor’s clothes

      Despite the healthy scepticism in this thread, it’s important to understand that this is pretty much the playbook. Dump wants to break up the EU, he’s focused on regime change in countries within Europe where the hope is to put the right wing parties in power. He also hopes to partner with Poland, Hungary and Austria.
