Sulla base di quello che ho visto, la Bulgaria appare migliore della Romania e della Grecia in termini di salari rispetto al costo della vita, ma questa mappa la mostra due volte più povera?

Greek here. Greece’s wages are higher than Bulgaria’s but prices are even more. Minimum wage here is 1026 euros while Bulgaria’s is 550 euros (gross wage and 12 wages for each, over here we have 14 so I converted). Gas price here is 1,80 for reference and rent for a studio in Athens is around 500-600 euros. Greece’s problem is low wages relative to cost of living, Bulgaria has lower wages but lower prices too.

No, it’s not true, Eurostat has us a little bit behind Romania, not 50% lower.

I’d take these numbers with a grain of salt. It doesn’t really take into account social services people get from the government and the social net. Without a detailed methodology we don’t know what is used to calculate the results. Bulgaria is the poorest country in the EU but this seems too stark of a difference to be believable.

The data is wrong. Realistically Bulgaria is closer to Hungary or Slovakia and above Greece and Romania from other relevant sources
