We need to stop consulting the public and just start building. Anyone who objects goes prison. Job done

In this case this isn’t a bad thing. Sure delays aren’t good, but neither is building a substandard line. Cork deserves better than the proposed line. There shouldn’t be a one way loop, there should be more separation from car traffic, etc.

They will spend a few million on public consultations, consultant reports, feasibility studies, preferred route mapping, etc etc etc over the next decade but the reality is as the Dublin Metro bill is already estimated at up to €23 billion nothing else is getting built in this country until that is done. And there is already a strong campaign for an upgrade to the M50 which will cost also billions. Sadly we won’t see a Cork Luas before those two projects are complete probably late 2030s early 2040s.
