      If you’ve done nothing wrong you won’t mind us looking into your private messages. Oh and by compromising encryption we will probably enable organised crime to compromise your privacy too.

      Why? They could intercept your messages and spy on your device to find out you’re planning a murder spree while watching child porn and you’ll still get either a suspended sentence or 7 years max depending on who the judge is. Less time than you’d get selling dodgy boxes. 

      I’m tired of the powers that be using crime and children as an excuse to invade our privacy.

      They’ll spy on the population but god forbid they actually jail someone with 150+ convictions that’ll go out and kill a girl on a scrambler 🤦‍♂️ path of least resistance I suppose

      Not sure why they need to spy on people to find criminality, when they have about 75 people in Ballymun alone that they know well enough to charge them, but just can’t engage because they’ll be sued for assault.

      Everything is theatre. Every single crack down on law is for nothing but show.

      The internet was a mistake. It started well but it’s going to wind up a mass surveillance and propaganda tool in between selling us shit we don’t need. 

      Look at the tools Palintir is selling ICE, at the UK determination to ban vpns, the temporarily defeated EU war on encryption, the great firewall of China, the Cambridge analytical scandal. It’s all going one way.
