Shit, I just updated my subscription as well, will I get a refund?

If someone made a sensible product, they could make lot of money. You know, so that you don’t need a bunch of subs to see your team.
At the moment you can steal a better product than you can buy.

Watch them get the sort of 10+ year sentences usually reserved for killers and terrorists, because nothing must be punished more than affecting a companies profits.

I’m just relieved they were able to spare the resources – I assume that all other crimes have been solved!

Despite all of these successes the police advertise it’s never been easier to pirate and it’s growing faster.
Police don’t have the resources or ability to win, not just UK, but globally. They take one server down, but there’s a dozen mirrors still active.

Was it mainly pay per view sports they were selling; doesn’t really say in the article.

You have to love how all these media companies (and I include the Premier League) turned a civil action into criminal law.

That’s some decent cable management. Surprised they’re not running it in the cloud or something.

The irony of reading this while transferring 2 movies and a TV series to my Plex/Emby server isn’t lost on me

It’s wild that the illegal services are often more user-friendly than the official, fragmented mess we’re sold. The real crime here is how the legitimate market created this demand in the first place.

note how the police have far more time to chase this sort of thing, crimes against corporations, than they do to chase corporations for fraud against customers

If buying is not owning, then piracy is not stealing.

It costs £1,600 per year if you had a streaming plan for all of the services, or you can sail the seas and pay between £50-£100. We’re in a cost of living crisis and people up their prices but target these types of crime instead of addressing spiralling costs that these thieves charge.

Surprised it was being hosted in the UK. That seems guaranteed to get you caught.
