He has to. Right wing politics is now entirely designed and based on online rhetoric and only wants to affect the online community over the actual community.

He’s terrified he’d be asked about actual material politics outside of the culture war.

I’ve enjoyed watching ZP troll him on insta about this. Chicken emojis abound. 🐔

What’s the point of any leader having a debate so far out of a general election?

I’d never vote for Zack but much prefer the electoral landscape with him in it rather than out

Makes sense, two minor party leaders debating each other…makes perfect sense

Though (and its not something I say lightly as he’s so loathsome) you can see why Farage would refuse…as obviously he now views himself as being in a different league to the Greens, hoping to have maybe a couple of hundred seats at the next election

    Populist vs populist.

See who can promise the most vague solutions to deeply complex problems fastest

2 sides of the same coin and neither have any serious, well thought policy.

The depressing thing is that we laughed at Boris for dodging debates and running into fridges and the cunt ended up getting a majority.

It would be fun to watch to be fair, but it is two populists from either side of the spectrum. Buzzwords would be used, wealth inequality, immigration, wealth inequality, wokeness, wealth inequality, then probably switch to wealth inequality and immigration.

What I would really like them to do is a segment each with a broadcaster who would challenge them both on their shallow arguments. Maybe a tour to make it even, Nick Ferrari and then in to James O’Brien. Then a contract which says they need to return at the same time the following day to discuss only the answers they gave the day before after they’ve been fact checked.

Farage has absolutely nothing to gain where there’s zero vote crossover. Zia Yusef already smoked Polanski on question time, I’m not really sure why he thinks he’s got a chance against Farage anyway

The BBC would have to double their number of fact checkers for this one.

I hope they do debate. I like both of them – both great speakers, both with interesting policies that could really improve the U.K.

I lean more towards Farage out of the two, sadly, but it’ll be great to see them go head to head.

Two populist morons who should be kept from power. Deeply ashamed left leaning peers my age for falling for Polanski’s crap.

Farage can’t do pressure. Anyone who challenges him in public is swiftly removed by his handlers.

Anyone who pressures him on TV or radio won’t get another slot with him.

Under pressure, the mask slips and his true ugliness comes out.

In a head to head with Farage Polanski would be eaten alive – he simply doesn’t have anywhere near the intellectual capacity to handle a political debate. FFS even Lammy would find it an easy win with him.

if farage cannot even defend himself in a debate with this guy how is he supposed to protect us from the big bad europeans…

Zack makes the mad hatter look saine. Whats his plan to hypnotise him to make his chest bigger?

  18. Least-Amphibian2538 on

But Polanski told HuffPost UK: “Farage is running scared – he doesn’t want to talk about Reform’s super-rich backers, their Russia links, their plans to strip rights away from working people and to introduce charges to use the NHS.”

All of those are key points which should be discussed but is Zack prepared to say how his plans for state ownership, open borders, leaving NATO and unilateral nuclear disarmament are going to work. He may be cool and down with the kids but so far his positions are either naïve or dangerous.
