I don’t think homosexuality is hated bcz of religion in our country. It’s hated because of “mentalitet”

This graph gives the idea that religion and LGBT acceptance have an inverse relationship, which is often true but it’s also a correlation.

Eastern Europe despises LGBT people but not for reasons related to religion.

    3. It’s one of the worst charts I’ve ever seen. The lines have no proper titles or labels at all. And wtf even is “Datacanvas” as a source?

Just look at Azerbaijan. It’s placed way up in the “high religion + low acceptance” corner, and it is completely absurd. From academically accepted sources (Pew and World Values Survey) Azerbaijan should be one of the lowest religious places.

It’s just some random person putting country names on random axes.

ngl I think it’s pretty accurate, especially if you look at our neighbors on the graph. Armenians and Georgians are notoriously more religious which is often evident in their cultural mindset.

As for us, even though we aren’t explicitly “allahsız”, we sit in a weird gray area: we’re definitely less religious than our neighbors, but still less secular than Ukrainians or Bulgarians.
