Feels like topsy turvy land recently when the south and east are getting the worst of the bad weather.

What I don’t understand is why are these places getting flooded out in contrast to the north west that (barring Galway and a few others) rarely get flooded even in heavy consistent weeks of rain.
Castlebar as an example could and has received months of rain in times previous times and it wouldn’t be flooded.
Is it a case that Dublin and the north/south eastern part of the country is below sea level than initially thought.

Wettest January since 1948. 141mm of rain fell. Galway for example gets 116mm on average in rainfall in January.

Reading about country preparing for deluge. Checking met.ie. Just some rain in the east. Not even that heavy. Barry’s tea. Nice.

Galway? Check rainfall per year for each county.
We’re living under water year round in Kerry.

Simply get yourself IPX8 rated, modern phones can comply with IP67, but you want at least 1m of rain/water covered just to be sure, from head to toe.
