Hopefully they’ll do investigate Mette-Marit, Brende, Rød-Larsen and Juul whilst theyre at it.

    >The information that has emerged in recent days about Thorbjørn Jagland’s dealings with Jeffrey Epstein has raised a number of new questions that need to be answered. The fact that Eccochrim has now opened the investigation of Jagland for gross corruption emphasizes the seriousness of the case, he says.

    >Støre says that Jagland’s immunity at the time he was Secretary General of the Council of Europe cannot stand in the way of police work.

    >Therefore, the government has today taken the initiative for Jagland’s immunity to be abolished. Now it is important that the police do their job, says the prime minister in a comment on VG by email.

If anything good can come out of this vile epstein scandal, I do like how European politicians handle this, mostly.

Some of the things he is accused of are literally examples of things not to do in the onboarding materials for new government employees. Accepting things like stays at the residences of people or holidays for example.

Then again I am suspending judgement a tiny bit: Jagland was the driving force behind Obama getting the Nobel prize and the guy who handed it to him. Trump had the files for a good long time.

Trump is a bit of a vengeful character.

The fact that Norway is actually stripping his immunity and opening an investigation is honestly refreshing. Compare that to how these files have landed in other countries where everyone just shrugs and moves on. Whether anything sticks in court is another question, but at least the process is happening.
