They try so hard to get our approval and the best I can offer is “it looks like a china copy”. Fitting for a nation that has no culture of its own except racism and slavery.

The thing is Dale used to make sweaters for the US Ski Team and Olympic series sweaters. This looks like such shit compared to them. Holy fuck, man. There’s so much cringe, plus it has a nazi flag on it which will age really well in a couple years.
People here saying it’s cultural appropriation. The US has a large Norwegian population. American culture IS European culture.
I love this. Introduces the world to traditional Norwegian design. All for it.

Looks like another thing theyve ripped off and tried to pass as their own, so as American as it gets i guess

How dare you, Americans are the least creative country in the world I’m pretty sure it’s patented soo I guess someone could sue Ralph Lauren for this.

It’s meh. Looks like it’s trying to be three different sweaters at once. The yarn looks cheap, it looks sort of see through.
The sweater colour is not the same as the flag colour and thw blue ring in the olympic ring is yet another blue.
The flag has a strange placement, too low, and it looks like a knock off of the real flag. Like the «Norwegian flag» that is the logo of Napapijri.
I actually like a lot of Ralph Lauren clothes/designs, but this is not a hit.

The *selburose* is common in Norway. Not sure if unique to Norway. The *mariusgenser*(?) pattern above (dark blue and white) is also common. Is it 100% wool?
I think Marius pattern is patented, not sure to what degree it is possible to patent a knitting pattern..

Wow. Despite the flag, I thought this was a Norwegian outfit.

Cool.
Would look better without the flag in the center (could’ve incorperated it elsewhere probably), but then again its something for the US team for the Winter Olympics.

Excellent (ironic applause). 13 stars! Although almost 250 years late…
I think one of the reporters should ask the athletes what the symbols mean and if they know anything about them…
Maybe even about the Olympic rings…
Please, someone… do it!!

As an American, I would totally consider buying this sweater if the flag weren’t so dang big 😭 but also as an American, the massive flag is one of the most American things I’ve ever seen…and I hate that about us.

The American flag evokes bad feelings nowadays.
