
Ciao! alcuni di voi potrebbero aver visto il mio post in cui parlo del desiderio di mangiare del cibo olandese. la mia ragazza voleva il boerenkool stamppot! ha finito per cucinarlo! ci è davvero piaciuto. siamo rimasti sorpresi nel vedere le pere nella ricetta, e ancora più sorpresi quando abbiamo mangiato le pere nello stesso boccone delle patate e del cavolo riccio! aveva un buon sapore! era decisamente la mente sulla materia. questo piatto è molto simile a molte cose che cucinano i nostri genitori/nonni, quindi non ci è sembrato stravagante. sbircia anche una piccola spruzzata di senape perché in generale non ne sono un fan ahah!

That is a tiny portion, but I suppose that makes sense when trying. Never come across the pear thing. I prefer it with gravy and piccalilli but each to their own! Well done on making it 🙂

This looks so weird. You are supposed to serve a much larger portion with lots of gravy and some vinegar to make up for the flat taste. The fruit shouldn’t be there either. But you do you.
I’ve never heard of boerenkool being paired with a pear. Apart.
Well done, bit I’ve never ever seen pears with boerenkool.
I too eat it with gravy (make a dent/hole in the middle of the pile and put it in there, like a volcano) and mustard.

However I do always have a bit of mustard on the side, just like you. Sometimes some picalilly.

Upgrade your mustard to a proper jarred Dijon mustard, increase the amount of stamppot on the plate, add gravy and finally please remove the pears, I don’t know what recipe you followed but it certainly isn’t something Dutch people do 😅
Edit: I’m also pretty sure i dont see any cubed bacon in there, it’s essential

The portion should be bigger. Its a heavy wintermeal, so as big as a bear would have it just before hibernating!
At the top of the heap of boerenkool there should be a pit for the gravy, that is not negotionable. Boerenkool without a kuiltje is like a king without a crown.
Pear on top has been mentioned already.
