A law onto themselves and totally disconnected from reality.
This is a real overstep by the judge, they can interpret the law, not make it. It’s just going to waste time now if there is an appeal.
He said while awarding 170k to that woman standing holding a parking space. What a prick (the judge).
Legal system needs massive reform.
The award in question, by the way, being for a minor (at most) injury which was suffered as a result of someone standing in an empty parking spot and refusing to move, where there were conflicting narratives as to how the injury occured, and where the judge awarded the claimant €75k for “serious psychiatric damage”. The woman was attempting to claim for €1.75m
Our legal system does not function for the benefit of the public, who are the people paying higher premiums because of this bullshit. It exists to serve the pigs at the trough feeding on the rest of us, that’s the legal profession at large and their pals, claimants like the one above…
