Ukrainian short track skater Oleh Handei says Olympic officials banned his custom helmet in Milan over a line of Ukrainian poetry: “Where there is heroism, there is no final defeat.” The International Skating Union classified it as a “political slogan.” This makes it third such case during 2026 Olympics. Kateryna Kotsar was banned from wearing her signature “Be Brave Like Ukrainians” helmet.
