This is completely unreasonable. Ireland isn’t responsible for their actions, so why should we have to give up our home advantage to accommodate them.

They shouldn’t be in the tournament if they can’t travel to other countries without security concerns.

Ive only ever been to home games but from games ive seen on tv, Irish support is always strong abroad and I think theres very few places that won’t look like Lansdowne. People will travel. Its going to be hard to manage no matter where you go

We don’t have the security numbers to prevent a PR disaster. Sort of sums up where the country is, perhaps we can ask the French or the British to help us?

Will they refuse to play here?

Will we refuse to play them here?? The reasons need to be clearly laid out here.

I wouldn’t have thought there’d be much risk here. It is a completely different environment to Belgium.

Have it in Birmingham- the local police will stop their away fans..

If they try and move it abroad, refuse to play that simple

  8. That siptu lad isn’t talking for the vast majority of Ireland trying to get Ireland to forfeit points. Get fucked

For the eejits who don’t read the article heres the quote “and we believe the vast majority of Irish people, believe should not be taking place.”

Its utterly insane and depressing to me how the whole world just decided to do nothing about the genocide in gaza. Just imagine what the world would look like if iran china or russia did a fraction of what israel is doing. It’d be all over the newspapers. Fu.k all these people.

Play it in Ireland. Behind closed doors. With just massive Palestine flags covering the empty seats.

Ah lads, as much as we all seem to collectively disagree with Israels politics, surely we can accommodate a bloody football game?! If they cant travel here for fear of safety (unlikely!) or scrutiny (almost certainly!) they shouldn’t be taking part! Where could they consider as likely venue? And why do we loose home advantage?

If our team has to play in Tel Aviv, theirs can survive Dublin…

  13. This is disgraceful. We should not be giving up home advantage to accommodate these pricks. If the FAI go ahead with this and play it in a foreign country, everybody should boycott the other home games.

  14. itstheboombox on

Play it in Ireland, ban away fans for hooliganism, home fans boycott.

Why would there be security concerns, has Israel done something unforgivable ?

For the people complaining about this: if you want Israeli ultras walking the streets of Dublin at the time of this match, you’re completely lost. They’re insane, hardcore nutcases. You’re just asking for trouble. Let them move it.
