i initially thought this was a hit piece on the richest party in the country, with a very tired reference to a certain robbery

World Bank is like the United Nations and not a commercial Bank. The amount approved was lower than what was recommended by the civil service. Another fake news hit piece. The real question is why our Sinn Fein siding with the Russians in voting against an EU loan package for Ukraine?

Alot of questions remain unanswered by Fine Gael on this one, and they flat out refused to bring Donohoe before Oireachtas Finance Committee.

Its public money, & the remit of the committee is to scrutinise public spending.

Governments should be transparent in how they use our money.

First glance thought Pascal was moving to Sinn Fein

Honestly, I take way more issue with Pascal handing out welfare to McDonald’s and developers before exiting the country during a time of economic headwinds only a year after asking the people of Dublin Central for a 5 year mandate than him gifting a couple million to get a job.

This is an awful flyer, the prominence of the Sinn Féin title immediately makes an association with them and corruption/cost of living crisis, which you would then need to know who the pictured politician is to get the right idea(in my experience most people know them by name more than appearance and would probably mistake him with Pearse Doherty who looks vaguely similar to Paschal Donohoe).

Not their best graphic design work lol

Took me a while to realise it wasn’t saying “Sinn Féin laughing all the way to the bank” so I assumed it was an anti-SF thing at first.

And yet come election time they’ll be the first to complain about attack adds or “negative campaigning”.

  9. Key_Perception4436 on

Not a big fan of Sinn Fein but they have a point on that one and I’m surprised that didn’t get more attention.

Paschal basically bribed his way to run the World Bank using taxpayer money. Totally disgraceful

That 10 million translates as 2e per head in the country, really gonna make a big difference for SF hey

  11. CurrencyDesperate286 on

Cost of living crisis do bad the poor lad on the right has gone back to black & white

  12. Archie2235 on

Weren’t they going ape shit when their precious Catherine Connolly was being ‘smeared’ by fg/ff. Loving how they change their tune to suit themselves

    Just a reminder

The money was not given, it is still Irish money. All that was given was a source of credit for development loans which was in line with recommendations from the state

Good to see SF getting the libel in early. They need to get the graveyards to vote and they will be half way there.

  15. PapiLondres on

Only SF think they can whinge their way to a united miserable Ireland

  16. AbsolutelyBollocksed on

Laughing all the way to and from the Northern Bank.

  17. SampleDisastrous3311 on

Is there any laws on making these types of posters but made in a way to take the piss out of politicians?

  18. Any_Peace_1187 on

He was only paying his salary for the next few years for a made up job! Who wouldn’t take that opportunity.

  19. Hungover994 on

The Sinn Fein should be down in the bottom corner. This design is daft

  20. shaadyscientist on

Sinn Fein really need to not use the word “bank” in their promotional work. I assumed this was a flyer suggesting they were planning another bank robbery up north.

  21. Exige30499 on

10 million you got higher to his new costs you employer can’t afford? People called Romanes they go the house?

  22. Intelligent-Aside214 on

Political target ads like this is a slippery slope
