      It just blows my brain that Orban has been happy to have the ONLY source of oil going through an ACTIVE war zone. Insane.

      Icing on the cake that it was actually Russians who bombed it this time.

      I seriously don’t understand Orban. As a part of EU he placed all his bets on fucking Putin ?

      And his country is literally land locked , so no chances of circumventing anything

      He wants the best of both worlds, Support via money and grants from the EU and cheap oil and feeling like a king by having close ties to Russia. Plus the damn veto power, honestly who would even be talking about him or Hungary in a international context if that weren’t the case… Not trying to be mean but Hungary just is a smaller player in that context.

      Orban seems to think that securing cheap Russian energy is the key to winning the upcoming election. He doesn’t understand that Hungarians are sick of him, of his authoritarianism, his servitude to Russia (which most Hungarians don’t support), and his rule, which has turned Hungary into one of the poorest countries in the EU and ruined the country’s image. But Orban thinks none of that matters, and that keeping Russian oil and gas flowing is the key to everything.

      I believe there are current talk between EU and Ukraine to reopen the Druzhba pipeline, Hungary uses the II’nd line that connects with Adria.

      If Orban would extradite Zsolt Hernádi to face charges for bribery and returned controlling rights of INA to Croatia, I think the deal *might* be acceptable. This way its just demands.
