Horrendous AI slop, but, true. The wait time for a drivers license is insane due to the fact that everyone and their dog wants to drive and have a car due to the appalling public transport situation.
On the other hand, very few people are applying for a gun license so you can take the course and get the test completed in less than a month.
This is likely true in most countries that are importing vast amounts of workers. Doesn’t mean Malta has a gun crime issue or is dangerous at all. Simply more people want a drivers license than the system has capacity to process each year.
Do I need to pass some type of interview and join some driving club/association and proof why exactly need a car(for sport, collection of cars or kiling animals with it) to get the driving licence?
And it is enough just to hear, see and be able to touch your nose to pass health certification needed to get a gun licence?
