Totalitarian regimes and whitewashing the past. Iconic combo that, like retro-fashion, just keeps coming back.
If they want to talk about genocide of Soviet people they could start with the 20 million slavs the bolsheviks murdered in the first twenty years of the Soviet Union, just because they were christians.
Maybe gulags are not a thing of the past anymore and don’t belong to a museum?
