Russia’s Reform Party stooges in the UK government like Nigel Farage will be over this trying to paint it as the UK taxpayer being robbed to send money to Ukraine to be squandered or pilfered.

It’s important everyone in the UK takes every opportunity to remind folks that this money is primarily spent on UK industry to build products that get sent to Ukraine to stop Russia’s further advance into Europe.

That’a good. But I suspect it’s over years and years. We can borrow squillions (and let’s face it if we had done so 4 years ago, none of this would have happened). Think about it. Russia attacks in 2022. U.K immediately borrows x squillion to provide aid (90%) and rearm (10%) and encourages everyone else to the same. A few follow and the Kharkiv counter attack brings many of the rest. Russia sees the will of the West and so their adventure is going nowhere and, well who knows? This should have been the way. I have paid WW2 loans in my life, very happily.
