La resilienza ucraina rimane forte mentre la guerra entra nel quinto anno

While true in isolation, Ukrainians are human too. Their suffering matters and slow-dripping the support only makes them face death by a thousand cuts instead of death by one cut. Nowhere does their suffering stop without listening to them *sincerely* to replace the slow-drip with a timely and useful flow of support as well as eradicating once and for all the immoral emotional self-sabotage based on the “concerns” and “suffering” of the oh-so-misunderstood Russian people.

It’s irrational and now even borderline insulting to the Ukrainians for the First World at large to keep acting as though Ukrainians can keep living off vibes and feel-good stories like this while compelled via the slow-drip of NATO-caliber support to play perpetual defense against the Russian hordes just to live as a sovereign people in a rump-state for a homeland.

If any of us were in the shoes of any of the 40 million+ Ukrainians out there, would we truly believe that playing nice with the 140 million+ “Christian” and “European” Russians would be justified in light of the sinister contrast between the [Budapest Memorandum](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budapest_Memorandum_on_Security_Assurances), [Russo-Ukrainian Friendship Treaty (!)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian%E2%80%93Ukrainian_Friendship_Treaty) and [Minsk Agreements](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minsk_agreements) on one end and the visceral experience of how millions upon millions of Russians from all walks of life have gone mask off *again* [with their culturally-acceptable and centuries-old **hatred** of Ukrainians](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russification_of_Ukraine#Peter_I_and_his_successors) on the other?
