Sickening. Essentially do attempted murder than just stroll into a nearby pub afterwards?

No wonder the guards found him so easily with that haircut. Hope they throw the book at him.

what i find absolutely mental about this is that after beating him to a pulp, one of the alleged attackers walks away, comes back and decides to snap his arm in two??

      absolutely vile attack.

His names Leonel Ricci? Lionel Richie?

Will the same folks be out rioting a foreign national did this crime, or will he get it a pass for obvious reasons…

“(defence barrister) Mr O’Higgins said while there was no getting away from the fact that it was a serious incident, there was no reason not to grant his client bail.”

How did he say that with a straight face. Thankfully neither of them got bailed.

      >Ricci allegedly told police he was a “professional” MMA fighter who attacked the victim to “send a message to drug dealers”, the court hear on Monday.

      >Detectives claim the accused, Ricci, made admissions during interview in which he said he believed the man he attacked — who was not known to him — had been selling drugs.

      >The court was told Mr Ricci had travelled to Ireland in November to pursue what he described as a lifelong ambition of becoming a member of Garda Síochána. He had been staying in a hostel in the city centre before going for pizza with co-accused Dominic Smith shortly before the alleged attack.

The instagram is also exactly what you’d expect [https://www.instagram.com/leonelriccimma/](https://www.instagram.com/leonelriccimma/)

It’s rare that reading an RTÉ report makes me feel nauseous. Christ, what a monster.

I wish there was a VR simulator to make perpetrators of violent crime experience what they put their victims through – that everyone who would commit a violent crime would know that they would be on the receiving end of experiencing that same treatment in future, even if only virtually.

I suppose the maximum legal sentence that we have in this country will have to do, but then again I think he would also be a danger to other criminals in our prison system.

Judge Nolan will give them three months suspended, that’ll teach them

    9. The fact one of the lads is an MMA fighter should result in a harsher sentence too. Absolutely brutal story to read though.

That’s not assault, it’s attempted murder. I highly doubt that’s the first time something like that has happened with this guy too, that kind of temper doesn’t come out of nowhere.

Had a look at the Argentinian lads instagram , all he seems to have done since he came to Ireland is train MMA and drink… a strange few posts. Hopefully him and the other ballbag never see the light of day again.

They’ll get a year each if we’re lucky

Our justice system is a farce

So that’ll probably end up as two suspended sentences and a harsh talking to from the judge.

      Scumbags

This turned my stomach. I hope the victim pulls through and I hope these absolute pieces of scum have long custodial sentences.

These two guys should be charged with attempted murder if the victim in hospital pull through. Because that’s what it is, they have tried to kill him.
