La polizia federale ha consigliato alla società informatica francese Sopra Steria di non testimoniare davanti a una commissione parlamentare sul fallito progetto i-Police. Questa consulenza è stata fornita nonostante quasi 76 milioni di euro fossero già stati versati all’azienda per il progetto, interrotto per mancanza di risultati.

No, the law firm of the police advised this, because there’s plenty of information that would be under an NDA that a normal investigation wouldn’t be allowed to overwrite anyway (plus the usual “we can’t expose our internal working! Etc.).
Now if the government would launch a formal parlementiary investigation, or however it’s called, everyone involved in the project can be COMPELLED to come testify AND it could overrule NDAs and contractual fines.
