      Surprised this took so long.

By all accounts the whole family is rotten.

Yet another headache for Starmer. His Home Sec will have the last say on extradition proceedings. TBH if I was Siddiq, I think I’d be packing my bags for … idk, Russia or something. Assuming a UK court orders her extradition, how could the government possibly refuse it? Either they throw one of their MPs to the wolves or say pretty openly that it’s one rule for them, another rule for everyone else and that Starmer cares about international law right up until it’s inconvenient for him.

Watch how this country refuses and gives her political asylum.

Bangladesh ranks 125th out of 143 countries in the 2025 World Justice Project (WJP) Rule of Law Index.

I wouldn’t trust Bangladesh courts even if they are investigating Nigel Farage, especially when it is the new regime prosecuting family members of the old regime.

If they do request her Extradition then the government has to ask itself: if the roles were reversed and the UK government wanted a Bangladeshi politician extradited, would Bangladesh do it?

If no then why should we?
