    The reasonable thing to do. The only drawback (if one insists) is that we can’t block the US trade deal through endless legal reviews since preliminary implementation is apparently possible.

    >‘Provisional application’ is, by its nature – provisional. It is right there in the name. In line with the EU Treaties, the Agreement can only be fully concluded once the European Parliament has given its consent. So the Commission will continue to work closely with all EU institutions, Member States and stakeholders to ensure a smooth and transparent process.

    I don’t understand this, what does it mean that it can be fully concluded once the parliament gives consent if it has already denied it

    People in Europe are complaining about the potential impact on farms. People in South America are complaining about the potential impact on factories. Seems like the sign of a balanced deal.
