It’s impossible not to feel for Saoirse losing a baby like that is a grief most of us can’t even imagine. What makes it worse is seeing a sentence that feels nowhere near the weight of what she’s been put through. Six months for a crash that changed her whole life just doesn’t add up. Families deserve better than this.

This is just tragic all around. Terrifying how such a momentary lapse can have such grim consequences.
God love her and fair play for holding his and telling him she forgives him. All around tragic and heartbreaking.

This is tragic but from the sounds of it, the car that got rear ended and crashed into the victim when it was taking a right turn had its wheels turned before it was ready to move. I remember one of my first lessons when driving was to never do that – always have your wheels front facing if waiting to turn and only turn when you’re ready to move. Someone could rear end you and push you into oncoming traffic otherwise.

“After the sentence was handed down today, Ms Aylward approached Dudek and said that she forgave him. Dudek held her hand and apologised, and Ms Aylward asked him to remember her son, Jax.”

Law needs to change for this. A life was lost and the sentence should reflect that.

Not suspending his drivers license?
He should never be allowed behind a wheel in ireland again. Ridicolous that he gets special treatment in court

I don’t get why some are jailed and some not.

She ran a red light and kills someone and gets away with it completely, what this guy did doesn’t seem as bad. Doesn’t make sense.
