Do the police do any vetting at all beyond accepting candidates word that they’re not a sexist, racist, homophobic bigot? The trust in the police must be at an all-time low.
Same as it ever was (except now they have more sophisticated tracking capabilities).
Straight up misleading headline by the BBC, whilst deeply serious the matter at this time is still only an allegation and should be clearly reported as such.
